EL MONO Banana-infused Caribbean Rum, handcrafted in Gibraltar.

Inspired by Gibraltar’s famous tailless macaque (Macaca sylvanus) locally known as EL Mono our rum celebrates the spirit, charm, and mischief of the Rock’s most iconic residents. These remarkable monkeys—around 300 in number—live in five family troops within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, carefully protected and monitored by the Gibraltar Ornithological & Natural History Society.

El Mono Rum captures this playful energy in a smooth, banana-flavoured rum-based spirit drink, made by hand in small batches at Spirit of the Rock Distillery. With its naturally sweet aroma and tropical notes, it’s the perfect companion for cocktails, mixers, or simply sipping over ice.
