Old Tom was the gin of the Gin Palace era — a time of opulence, mirrored interiors and glowing gaslight.

With the addition of sugar and spices, it became the preferred style of its day — softer, richer and more approachable. It was also among the first gins to embrace marketing and carry a registered trademark, marking the beginning of gin as we know it today.

Once enjoyed neat in the grand “palaces” of Victorian England, Old Tom would eventually give way to the drier London Dry style — but its legacy remains.

Smooth, gently rounded and quietly indulgent, this is a revival of a forgotten classic.
